Glossy paper is the preferred option for printing out standard 4x6 inch size photos. There are many advantages of using glossy printer paper, the most obvious being the attractive finish. The shiny coating enhances the colours and improves contrast, giving deeper black shades and better sharpness. Glossy printer paper is the preferred option for professional quality prints.
Semi-gloss paper and its advantages
We stock Canon semi-gloss paper in 4x6 inch size, suitable for different types of photographic and image prints. The texture of semi-gloss printer paper is in between matte and glossy and it also reduces glare, which is common in glossy paper. The prints on semi-gloss paper are vibrant though to a lesser extent than glossy paper.
